On Wednesday, October 12th, Shareholders William T. Stuart and Garrett A. Soberalski presented “Damages and Remedies in Real Estate Disputes: What You Can Get When Things Go Wrong,” an ACC-WI hosted webinar.
The webinar discussed and analyzed the nuances of damages and remedies that may be available in various types of real estate disputes. It also addressed the remedies and damages available for breaches of commercial purchase contracts, commercial leases, and the warranties of title in deeds. The webinar highlighted the remedy of specific performance as well as the ability to collect actual damages, consequential damages, actual attorneys’ fees, and some of the non-monetary remedies that may be available in these disputes.
